Please join us on 8 December, 6-8pm for the launch of two new publications from PpR Editions.
We celebrate PpR Issue 5: SUSAN with photography by Chikashi Suzuki and colette 1997-2017 (Paris from my window) with photography by Benoit Grimbert.
The new issue of PpR reconsiders the format of a magazine, presenting SUSAN. Susan (Nozaki) recorded two albums (Do You Believe in
Mazik? and The Girl Can’t Help It) in Japan in the early
1980s, with members from the legendary band Yellow
Magic Orchestra (YMO). In the Spring of 2022, PpR invited photographer Chikashi Suzuki (Purple, Dazed and Confused, Libertin Dune)
and stylist Sumire Hayakawa (GINZA, Hanatsubaki, SWITCH) to make images of Susan on the streets of Shibuya, Tokyo. A hybrid between a magazine and a lookbook, Issue 5 is accompanied with a rare 24-page interview with Susan, exploring her life and the background to her recordings.
colette 1997-2017 (Paris from my window)
Photography BENOIT GRIMBERT is the first book from PpR Editions.
On the evening of 20 December 2017, colette, the legendary Parisian concept store closed its doors for good after twenty-years of trading on 213, rue Saint-Honore, 75001 Paris. The store represented the epitome of Parisian cool, luxury and non-luxury, style, culture, design and creative collaboration.
In collaboration with PpR, Paris-based photographer Benoit Grimbert photographed the last moments of business on this infamous corner in the city. A supplement, colette 1997-2017 (Paris from my window) Mix accompanies the publication and forms a response to the music mixes colette released throughout the 20 years.
