Please join us on Friday 9 October, 6-8pm, to celebrate the launch of a new installation at Tenderbooks by Magali Reus, coinciding with her solo exhibition Swimming by Night at The Perimeter on view until 16 December. From the 8th-20th October, Tenderbooks presents a collection of new and rare printed matter by Magali Reus alongside a bespoke vinyl window display designed by the artist. The new catalogue Swimming by Night published by The Perimeter on the occasion of her exhibition will be available for purchase.
Magali Reus (b. 1981, The Hague) lives and works in London. She creates sculptures that transform seemingly everyday objects. By detaching them from their original function, layered and complex assemblages of images and materials emerge. Instead of using readymades, Reus combines advanced technologies with traditional craftsmanship to create works that playfully reinterpret familiar elements from reality.
The exhibition Swimming by Night is on view at The Perimeter until 16 December.
