TenderChats | Jeremy Lee & Dal Chodha | 15 December, 1pm

Please join us on Thursday 15 December at 1pm UK time for TenderChats, our ongoing series of live conversations. We invite Chef Jeremy Lee to discuss his beautiful new book Cooking: Simply and Well, for One or Many published by Fourth Estate.

Cooking is about good food honed from good ingredients whether some great potatoes, asparagus or berries. This is a masterclass in simple things done well. The book is packed with stories, wit, infectious joy for food and indispensable advice.

There are sections on the usefulness and frugality of breadcrumbs; impromptu puddings; pea dishes galore; superb versions of classics like chocolate St Emilion and pommes Anna; big dishes to serve a few such as marinated chicken with roast pumpkin salad; and essentials like a wild garlic purée.

Jeremy Lee joined Sam & Eddie Hart at Quo Vadis in Soho in early 2012, becoming Chef Proprietor of this venerable restaurant. Jeremy had previously manned the stoves of Blueprint Café on the first floor of the Design Museum as well as working with such distinguished restaurateurs as Simon Hopkinson and Alastair Little, who all played a considerable part in the great resurgence of modern British cooking. Jeremy writes for numerous newspapers and periodicals and has appeared on television in The Great British Menu and Could You Eat an Elephant? for Channel 4.

TenderChats is an ongoing series of 30-minute musings on the magic and permanence of printed matter. A twice-monthly series of live conversations will be hosted by writer and publisher Dal Chodha on Instagram TV @tenderbooks.
