Please join us for the UK launch of Jim C. Nedd’s monograph Remembering Songs in partnership with Auto Italia on Tuesday 6 February, 6-8pm.
Remembering Songs is a compilation of photography exploring vivid, theatrical scenes of ceremonies and convivial environments across Colombia. Including parties, carnivals and other festivals, ‘Remembering Songs’ evokes the Latin American narrative tradition of magical realism. The monograph includes an introduction by Beatriz E. Balanta and an interview with the artist by Octavia Bürgel.
The event will include a conversation between artists Jim C. Nedd and Bernice Mulenga and a specially conceived installation.
Remembering Songs is a PAN Monograph. The project additionally received support from the Italian Cultural Institute of Bogotà.
