Queering the Voice
a creative workshop - drawing, writing, sounding with multi-disciplinary artist Guy Harries
The voice on the page, the voice out loud, the voice as others hear it. Queer Voices is a two-hour workshop at Tenderbooks that moves through all three, starting with a poem and ending in sound.
Running through all of it is queering as a method: a way of looking at the world, questioning what gets taken for granted and finding new ways of experiencing.
The workshop is open to all levels and backgrounds, and is especially suited to anyone curious about voice, writing and new ways of making. You will leave with a poem of your own, a freer voice and a sharper sense of the questions worth asking.
Capacity is limited, please RSVP to hello@tenderbooks.co.uk
