Seedlings: Queer as Nature
Seedlings is a series that follows the path of the year, returning us to the rhythms of nature. The work of over eighty artists fills this rich collection of stories, art, essays, poetry, and song.
Seedlings: V, QUEER AS NATURE. Our handmade magazine explores the intersection of nature and queerness with poetry, essays and art. Our magazine testifies that queerness is natural, offering a selection of letterpress printed poems, paintings, photography, and more. Other highlights include an essay about the anarchic, queer sex habits of earthworms by Michael Huldt and a very moving poem responding to the Supreme Court decision that slashed trans rights in April by Erin Gilbey. Among the artworks are queer weeds by Helen Cook and a print collaboration with Olivia Laing based on their book The Garden Against Time, with drawings by Alice Barker, designed by our editor Coran Green.
