Written in October 2023, at the edge of the Mediterranean sea, the story follows mothers and their children during an island vacation watching mass atrocity unfold in the distance when jellyfish swarm and sting the children from below the sea’s surface. An investigation into the tentacled bonds, and its poisons, circulating between mothers and children, tourists and locals, the mediated world, its wars and destruction, on screens, Medusas grapples with how political violence infiltrates language, bodies, and relationships through time.
