Stuart Bertolotti-Bailey In Conversation
Wednesday 27 January, 4-8pm
Stuart Bertolotti-Bailey is one half (with David Reinfurt) of Dexter Sinister, and one third (with Reinfurt and Angie Keefer) of the two-faced publishing/archiving platform The Serving Library. Bertolotti-Bailey will discuss Dexter Sinister’s recent publications Universal Serial Bus and On a Universal Serial Bus.*, both produced alongside an eponymous exhibition at Kunstverein München (October–November 2015).
An introduction to the exhibition and its attendant publications will be followed by some thoughts on the ongoing work of The Serving Library, its house journal Bulletins of The Serving Library, and its forerunner project Dot Dot Dot magazine, to inaugurate Bulletins of The Serving Library #10– a new retroactive *sampler* issue.
After the presentation there will be an informal Q&A, with questions from students of the MRes Art: Theory and Philosophy course at CSM, and the audience.
Please email mail@tenderbooks.co.uk to book a place for the discussion.
At 6.00 p.m. we will follow the discussion with drinks and the triplicate launch of:
1. Bulletins of the Serving Library #10, a *sampler* assembled from the previous 9 issues
(The Serving Library, 2015)
(The Serving Library, 2015)
2. Universal Serial Bus, a memory drive by Dexter Sinister (Sternberg Press, 2015)
3. On a Universal Serial Bus.*, a collection of recent texts related to the works on the bus and in the parallel exhibition at Kunstverein München (ROMA, 2015)
