The Rhondda in Colour (2016-2026) - Elijah Lewis Thomas

Rhondda in Colour is a self-published photography zine featuring ten years of photographs documenting the Rhondda Fach and Rhondda Fawr valleys. What began as a university project evolved into an ongoing body of work exploring the people, places and everyday life of my home.

Spanning a decade, the photographs capture moments that are often overlooked: quiet streets, local characters, changing landscapes and the rhythms of daily life. Rather than romanticising the valleys, the work aims to present an honest, affectionate portrait of a place and its people.

The zine contains 74 pages of colour and black-and-white photographs, printed in A5 perfect-bound format, and has been produced in a limited print run.
