Flowing - Callum Innes & Thomas A Clark
£2,750.00
The nature of both the painted brushmark and the poetic line is directional. An impetus is furthered as it is retained. Only when the brush is lifted, is the mark made. Only when the line ends does it begin to make sense.
The mark will forever remember the passage of the brush. It is within the movement of language that sense is delivered. While writing allows the reader to step twice into the same stream, a single mark may be enough to carry all the risk of painting.
