The museum aims to preserve the working atmosphere of Noguchi's studio with 150 sculptures on display, many of which are unfinished. The interplay between artworks and the garden is integral to Noguchi's vision. As he puts it 'I believe that sculpture is simply a way of teaching people about nature'.
