Hear Me_ (Red) - Olivia Oben

"A poetic space for loudness. 
To be loud, have an accent, mispronounce, be misinterpreted, be mistranslated, is to need, want, and desire even more. There are no barriers, only reasons." 

This project was a conversation-turned book among four people perceived as loud. The book was made to engage with the act of being loud or having a loud personality as an attempt, a form, and a need for communication. This idea was explored delicately but purposefully, within a quiet and sacred space, without distraction and with detail and intention. It often tends to get lost in auditory loudness and communication. The book is formatted to create an illusion of visual loudness, playing with the translucency of the thin bible paper, despite the poetic spacing engulfing the conversation.
