Netizens - Felix Mintah & Olivia Oben

Netizens stands as a recurrent act of agency and documentation of the Global South in an age of media governance and privatisation.
It is an honest, periodical attempt at archiving both the anthropologically urban and historical, a constantly developing archive that looks at the references of the people that create culture. First published with ideas of digital archiving and repatriation via Flickr, Netizens moves forward with a familiar poignancy yet novel intentions, introducing a more considered and curated approach from Editors Felix and Olivia.

In this family and friends issue, Netizens introduces four people with close ties to the archive and a keen eye for their specific area of study. We hope to expand each other’s knowledge and expertise, creating deeper cultural understanding and symbiosis through the process of unearthing archives
