RAEDTS, Janine. [Publisher].
A group of twenty-four hand-made letterpress publications from Blue Print Press. First editions. 24 hand-made books. Vittorio Veneto: Blue Print Press, 2014-2023. Fine copies.

A striking group of publications from Blue Print Press, the private letterpress studio of Janine Raedts founded in Vittorio Veneto, Italy in 2013. The focus of the publisher is on hand-made, one-poem books printed in very small editions. Here each edition gives space to a carefully chosen poem from a range of classic, contemporary and vernacular verse forms. In this group works by Emily Dickinson, Seamus Heaney, Philip Larkin, Andrew Marvell and William Carlos Williams keep company with a typographic setting of the shipping forecast and the lyrics of Bob Dylan’s Subterranean Homesick Blues. Illustrations by the publisher take a primary role alongside the text with techniques such as linocut, engraving, etching, aquatint, watercolour and photography. A beautiful collection showcasing the innovation of this private press and including editions as small as six copies only.
