A recognised classic of hairdressing fashion in Japan. The hair master Junji Noburyu (or 'Shinryu') worked from the 1960s in Akasaka Tokyo pioneering delicate 'upstyles' and weaving techniques as a handicraft industry in its own right. This volume often referred to simply as 'Technical Book', acts as a step-by-step manual showing in detail how to create iconic looks. The styles are beautifully photographed by Tadao Ikeda. Shinryu's hair artistry influenced numerous fashion stylists such as Eugene Soleiman who worked on looks for Yoji Yamamoto and Issey Miyake.
