In the early days of hip hop, American youth culture was still hard to come by and many young people in Europe had to work out their own ways of incorporating it into their lives. Most of the photos here are snaphots taken by kids on their way to a concert, next to a freshly painted graffiti piece or hanging out in their rooms at home.
