Archivist Addendum

Introducing the first Addendum that can be bought outside of the box. A limited run of 100, made to coincide with British artist Shelly Goldsmith’s solo show Dresses for Giants. Goldsmith uses the psychological theory ‘Locus of Control’ to understand how we locate our sense of self. In her hands, discarded textiles become elegiac memoranda. A polyester wedding gown is transformed into a poetic provocation; fragments of children’s frilly dresses become sites of melancholy. Inside a reclaimed polyester dye sublimation secondary print sheath is a limited-edition acetate work, an interview with the artist plus a sticker of her name that can be placed onto the first edition Archivist Addendum box.
