Bringing SELASI into the literary space for the first time, we present a curated book selection, classic SELASI pieces, and a beautiful array of summer flowers. Please join us for the preview on 30 July, 6-8pm.
SELASI is a London based label founded by multidisciplinary artist Ronan Mckenzie. Established in 2020, SELASI draws its name from the Ghanaian Ewe meaning ‘God hears me’, for Mckenzie symbolising a deep self trust and belief, touching on where the world of the brand originates from within Mckenzie’s spirit and practice. Anchored by timeless fashion collections that play with the themes of tactility, texture, structure, and how these interact with the female form, SELASI’s interest in garments extends into the spaces in which those garments inhabit and what those wearing the pieces will do in them. From creating scent, to furniture, to original scores and live performances, SELASI brings together Mckenzie’s diverse bodies of work together in a harmonious space of grounding and play.
