Please join us on Wednesday 21 May, 6-8pm for the launch of Chutney Magazine Issue Four.
Published every two years, Chutney returns with its fourth issue, forming a collection of twenty-one stories on culture and identity from voices of the Global Majority and its diasporas.
Whilst not focussing on a specific theme, what weaves together many of the pieces in this issue is a reckoning of sorts——pain, grief, absence and loss sit alongside small joys, fond memories and dreams, in relation to homeland, resistance, colonial violence and craft.
Inside, you'll find stories on: Gaza’s sea, cosmic liberation, migrant massage workers, Bosnian tombstones, joss paper shirts, tent diplomacy, Yuwaalaraay ancestors, past lives, bulldozer violence, Pacific Islands ads and more.
