Ways of Working - Stuart Bertolotti-Bailey and Richard Hollis

£22.00
The inspiration for this book can be traced to an article in the fifth issue of Dot Dot Dot (April 2003). British graphic designer and co-founder of the magazine Stuart Bertolotti-Bailey wrote an essay entitled ‘Way of Working’, devoted to four books designed by the British graphic designer Richard Hollis in the 1970s and 80s. During most of the time that Hollis was active as a designer, he was working with paper, cutting and pasting text and images. This ‘way of working’ was replaced for Bertolott-Bailey by computers and digital technology. And his essay took a close critical look at books designed by this designer from another generation.
