Elegant catalogue/ artist book that accompanied Ryan Gander’s touring exhibition ‘Heralded as the new black’ in 2008 which comprised of installations, films, cartoons, maps and subtle site-specific interventions produced by the artist on a ‘year off’ from exhibiting. Each work is given the attention of a ‘chapter’ in the book with a description/ source which is unfolded to reveal an image. The catalogue was also the first to commission critical texts examining the artists’ work.
