Throughout the summer of 1967, Henri Chopin collaborated with Gianni Bertini and friends to pull-off an art-world stunt: posting colourful broadsides in the streets of Paris that announced the itinerary of an imaginary avant-garde festival at Fort Boyard; a Napoleonic military fortification built-into an island off the coast of Rochefort. With imaginary performances by Gysin, Houdedard, Beguier, Wolman, Furnival, Blaine, Rotella, and Chopin. This retrospective catalogue archives those original posters in full colour, with Chopin writing from the year 69,000,000,000,000 to admire how the festival remains as perfect as on the day it was conceived.
