Catalogues for the exhibition Brasília: the building of a new capital for Brazil that was held at the ICA's first gallery in Dover Street in 1958. The show was staged while the city of Brasília was still under construction and included plans, models and photographs. The catalogues focus on the work of J. O. de Meira Penna, Luicio Costa and Oscar Niemeyer with detailed outlines showing the monumental scale of the city plan and its key buildings. An important period document that records the planning and build stages of the city before its official founding in 1960.
