The first male nude photobook released in Japan.
This is a collection of over 200 privately photographed male nudes shot by an anonymous 'Mr K'. Photographed in the 1950s, this series of nudes were originally intended as a reference for life drawing, but the fact that the photographer concealed his identity also points to the conservative attitudes towards sexuality in Japan at the time. The collection of photographs was edited and released under the title Stripped Guys by Masaru Nishina who also published the important gay magazine Bara zoku. With its erotic title and iconic cover design Stripped Guys is now considered a classic in Japanese gay culture.
