A very good copy.

The 'Maiwai' is a traditional fisherman's coat gifted by a shipowner to his sailors to congratulate them on a big catch. These blue linen coats are decorated with the name of the boat and stylised designs for good fortune. The striking motifs used in these textiles depict cranes and turtles, whales, seagulls, and of course, fish. This beautiful scarce book with photography by Seishi Nagatsuka serves as an excellent retrospective of the unique 'Maiwai' textile craft.
