KILBURN (David) (Edited by). GREEN ISLAND (an occasional magazine).
First edition. 240 x 297mm., bifolium [4pp.], B&w printing with title and colophon printed in blue. London, David Kilburn, n.d,.
Fine copy.

An occasional magazine published sporadically without numbered issues and distributed mainly amongst friends and colleagues. This edition reproduces the poem ‘Rose bud’ by Robert Lax in company with a photograph of Julia Blankie in ‘The Parade’s gone by’ by Alan Cunliffe. The magazine’s simple format and pairing of a single poem with a single image, in this case by Alan Cunliffe, was a subtle influence upon subsequent little magazines such as Stuart Mills’ Aggie Weston’s.
