'When you have accidentally added washing-up liquid to your salad instead of oil, do not attempt to wash it out and serve it to your children. They will be able to tell the difference. Even the teenagers.'
Based on the artists' personal history of cooking disasters this project initiated by Aleksandra Mir invites 1000 people from around the world to give their advice on how NOT to cook. Unlike the typical cookbook that offers a template for perfect success Aleksandra is interested in how by making our guilty failures public we can create a subversive and original form of art. Organised into sections like a traditional cookbook, only here the themes span Drugs, Erotica, Explosions, Jamming, Splatters and more. Each chapter with an illustration by the artist.
